We headed out to the Istria Penninsula, to visit the Pula Amphitheater, which was built by the Romans. It is estimated to have hosted 20,000+ spectators. For lunch we headed to Rovinj for the afternoon. Rovinj is a gorgeous harbor town that was part of the Venetian empire. We walked through the old town and up to the church on the hill before grabbing lunch, grilled squid, and wild asparagus risotto.
